Age Criteria for AY 2025-26 Admissions
As of April 1, 2025, the regular category has a minimum age of 6 years and a maximum age of 8 years for admission to Grade 1. As a result, a child seeking admission to Grade I for the academic year 2025–26 may do so between April 1, 2017 and April 1, 2019.
For “Differently Abled” candidates, the upper age limit is relaxed by two years. A child applying for admission under the “Differently Abled” category can have a birth date anywhere between April 1, 2015, and April 1, 2019.
The first of April in 2025 is the cutoff date for determining an applicant’s age for admission to AY 2025-26.
Note: The CBSE class 10th board exam has a minimum age requirement of 14 years, meaning that a candidate must be 14 years old on December 31 of the year of the exam.
